Pacquiao vs Bradley 3 | The April 9 bout will mark the third time Pacquiao and Bradley fought one another. Pacquiao  and Bradley fought twice before, first in 2012 when Bradley won via a controversial split decision victory; and then in 2014, when Pacquiao returned the winning card via a convincing 12-rounder with unanimous decision. This time they will fight for the WBO welterweight belt.

As their two previous matches, this bout will be taken place at MGM Grand Garden Arena as well. Pacquiao, 37, last fought on last May against the sport’s top pound-for-pound star, Floyd Mayweather, in the most rewarding fight in boxing history. Pacquiao lost that contest via unanimous decision. His boxing record stands at 57-6-2. Bradley, 32, most recently fought Brandon Rios in November, where he won via ninth-round TKO. His record is 33-1-1 with 1 no contest.

Unfortunately, this bout has brought some disappointment to some fight fans, boxing experts and boxers alike due to Pacquiao’s decision in picking Bradley again, as evidenced by the reaction on social media and various interviews. Veteran boxer Shane Mosley, who lost to Pacquiao in 2011 via a one-sided unanimous decision victory for the Filipino tweet his frustration via @ShaneMosley_

“Pacquiao vs Bradley III? Pac fought Marquez 4x’s. Who the hell wants to see these guys fight 3 & 4 times? What are ya’ll doing at TR?”

Some boxing fans also taking a hard response on the news, which proof that this is just not an interesting matchup anymore. While Khan’s much-hyped speed and Crawford’s switch-hitting will offer more exceptional challenges for Pacquiao and it would have been amusing to see how he handled them. They know what Bradley has to offer and so does Pacquiao, so why do it a third time?

Moreover, this matchup is reported to be Pacquiao last match, as he said to PhilBoxing.com. The “Pac-Man” want to focus to his new job and he looks forward to focusing on his political career in the Philippines, where he plans to run for a senatorial seat in May. Pacquiao, who has always been fond of helping the needy, insists the time to give up boxing in exchange of serving his countrymen full-time has now come. Even though, Freddie Roach still is not convinced Manny Pacquiao will walk away from boxing after the fights. He still thought that he (Pacquiao) was not done yet.

“I don’t think this will be his last fight,” Roach said. “I think he will fight in the future because I just don’t feel he’s all done.”

Nevertheless Manny Pacquiao will be returning to the gym to start his training camp for the fight in April in late January. According to long-time Canadian adviser Michael Koncz, his training will begin after his promotional tour for the 9th April match done. Pacquiao is fighting for the first time since a shoulder injury suffered during the training camp for the Floyd Mayweather fight in May last year. The promotional tour is set to start kick off this week to Los Angeles, California in the U.S. Stay tune with us the mega fight Pacquiao vs Bradley 3
